365 days countdown

One year to go before our big day but before anything else we stopped any wedding preparation and just focused on celebrating our anniversary of being together.

A few hours before the eve of our anniversary I was welcomed with a bouquet of roses with Casa Blanca.

The moment I arrived at my desk, the guard phoned me and said I have a delivery. To tell you honestly, I am expecting a box of cake in my table but there’s none. So it didn’t come to me that I will be having any kind of delivery as it is already 10pm and no one will deliver except for Mcdo or Jollibee. So I thought if I ordered Mcdo or Jollibee? I asked the guard what delivery. And he said in a monotone voice…flowers.

I repeated what he said coz still I have no idea what are the flowers for. I went to the reception and there was the delivery boy smiling at me. He gave me a receipt and had me sign it. Yes! It is for me coz I saw a familiar name… Reynaldo Domingo.

I was so shaky coz it’s my first time to receive a flower delivery. I have received a flower before in the office but it was handed to me personally by Rey. Anyway, it felt good.

As we always do during our monthsary, we eat together during my lunch break (midnight). We planned to eat at Texas Roadhouse Grill in El Pueblo but the store is already closed. So we decided to go to Metrowalk but we ended up in Home Depot. We chose between Jay-j’s Inasal or Next Door but we’re “sawa na” with those so JT’s is the next option.

Fast forward… we took a leave on the 19th so that we could spend our whole day together. We are in “tipid mode” so we just stayed at home. Funny coz it’s literally miser mode coz our lunch is tortang patatas, tokwa sisig and adobong kangkong.

lahat tira-tira :p

choco mallows and crunchies na binili ko sa office

for better or  FOR WORSE 😀

So that our day won’t look “kawawa” we had my brother cook “pansit” and him being generous added a melon shake.

October 20, actually, is the day we planned to go out. I left everything to Rey so he could surprise me. We dropped by Imagine Nation first to get our prenup pics! Yey!

Side kwento: I had a mentos moment also coz nasira ang sapatos ko, literal na humiwalay ang swelas. Gosh! Good thing we’re just near SM Centerpoint and so I bought new red shoes.

Moving on…

We arrived at Ocean Park at  almost 3:30pm. We had a quick lunch at Makan-Makan. I was so happy with our meal coz the food that we haven’t eaten in our trip to Singapore (our 2nd anniversary) we’re served there so we ordered it.

my marshmallow treat

crispy catfish salad (we ordered this influenced by Passion cooks)

crab meat with sweet chili sauce

crispy cereal prawns

First surprise (though I am expecting it)… Trails to Antarctica… I have always wanted to see a penguin in person. I was so like a kid enjoying the penguin diving, swimming, and walking.

happy me 😀

I even follow them wherever they go.

And the most I like is the close encounter with the penguins where we will feed them.

Supposedly, second surprise… trip to the National Museum. We didn’t do this because we lack time. Too bad.

Third surprise… This one’s a real surprise. During our trip to Singapore I wanted to experience the river cruise but due to time limitations we weren’t able to do so. So I always request to Rey that we try the Manila Bay Cruise.

We missed our original schedule – 5:30pm so we are rescheduled to 7:30pm so while we wait for our time we went to the PICC forum to visit the fair and check our prospect supplier – Aisle 1401.

7:30 pm time to board. We really wanted to be outside the cruise but the crew said that a group of Koreans already reserved the place but they said that we can still go outside while cruising.

Well, I thought it was a blessing in disguise coz as we cruise the bay it’s getting “mabaho”. Imagine eating with that stinking smell. It is Manila Bay indeed! Haha…

plated ang food…uhmmm di masarap! hehe

Nevertheless, I enjoyed the ride. We still wanted to try the MOA eye but we need to go home because of a commitment to a friend.

Well, it was a fun and tiring day. This would be our last celebration as boyfriend-girlfriend for next year we will be celebrating as husband and wife. 🙂
