Wedding at the Central United Methodist Church

After my second fitting with Hana, sorry I chose not to share it at this time, we went straight to Central UMC.

Our purpose of going there is to clarify some things like the flower arrangement, the liturgy, the administrating pastor, etc.

Upon reaching CUMC, we were surprised that there will a wedding. Instant ocular!

After, we went to the office to talk to Ms. Babes, the coordinator. But she is on leave. Good thing that Ate Jenny is kind enough to entertain us. Though she cannot answer all, at least some of the major concerns were addressed. I was saddened that Bishop Cerrie won’t be really administrating our wedding because of his assignment to Mindanao. Oh well. For the flowers, there’s upgrade available at a cost. They don’t allow outside florist, it’s a case to case basis. More appropriate to say is they don’t allow flower arranging to be done at the church. Pwede raw salpak lang nang salpak. The liturgy that Ms. Babes gave me before is the exact liturgy to be used, we just have to reproduce it.  We will coming back again to have a more detailed discussion with Ms. Babes.

Since, we’re already there and a wedding is about to start, we stayed. Ate Jenny invited us to come inside the church so we could watch it closely. To avoid attention, we stayed at the balcony. Then the ceremony began.

I noticed too many glitches in this wedding. So I was like – ayoko ng ganyan, gusto ko ng ganito, ay bakit ganyan? bakit ganun? ay bakit walang upuan ang couple? bakit nagbasa lang ang pastor? bakit ang bilis?. The sounds administrator and the wedding singer heard me, said that it’s normal for a Chinese wedding but if it’s a Filipino it’s totally different. Hay buti na lang.

We left after the recession. On to our next destination – airport to fetch Daddy and do a little shopping at Duty Free. Wheeeee!!!

We’re engaged! (late post)

I just remembered that I haven’t blogged about our first year of engagement yet. Been busy that I didn’t had the chance or should I say I forgot to post it.

For the record, May 26, 2013 marks our first year of engagement and every time I try to recall how it happened, it’s still vague. Ganun yata talaga.

Anyway, here is my facebook post sharing how it happened.

And I found this video in you tube, the time when he popped the question. 🙂

We celebrated the day by going to Starmall SJDM and bought materials for our props for our prenup the next day. I craved for Chicboy and there we shared the moment.

Update: Found this video from you tube. May karugtong pa pala yun, hindi ko alam, lutang talaga ako. 😀

Vatel liked our photo in facebook!

I know it’s so kababawan lang but natuwa talaga ako when I saw the notification. One kilig moment! 😀

My First Fitting

Yesterday, I had my first fitting with Hana. At first, I was not so ecstatic. I just recovered from a physical sickness and I’ve been thinking a lot of things causing emotional sickness. Oh well, I’ll have a separate post on that. While I was at Mcdo Megamall waiting for the mall to open, I am thinking of going home so I could rest. My appointment with Hana is at 3pm. So I have to wait 6 more hours. By the way, if you’re wondering why I am that early is I went straight from the office. Anyway, it is in my itinerary to buy clothes for our prenup on Monday so that will kill time.

Going forward, we arrived there at exactly 3pm. I was greeted by Hana. Natuto na ako from our previous meeting so mababa lang ang energy ko. But this time she is more energetic.

She said I would be fitting the test garment and the petticoat. I gave her the final silhouette I want. Buti na lang daw binigay ko yun.

I was directed to their kitchen where the bathroom is and she said wag daw akong mahiya “bahay nila yun”. Lol

So here goes my muslin fitting.

Aayaw ayaw pa ako nung una but when I saw myself wearing even the test garment and petticoat pa lang, grabe ang tuwa ko. Feeling ko pwede ko nang maging gown eto pa lang. haha…

Many adjustments were done because Hana said pumayat daw ako. Even the silhouette changed.

While I was changing clothes I didn’t know that my mother is talking already to Hana regarding her gown. Wow! Si mommy mag-HST na rin! haha

I’ll see Hana again on June 8 for the corset and adjusted petticoat fitting naman. 🙂

Check for Hotel preps

After the sumptuous lunch at Seaside Roxas Boulevard with w@wies and Mimma Benz, my w@wie friends, Joed and Johan (with her h2b Marci) accompanied me and Rey to Sofitel for ocular. I was surprised that some w@wies, Maf, Gracey, and Lalaine joined us too without hesitation. W@w love talaga!

I don’t have much kwento because we are 100% sure that we’re getting Sofitel, we just wanted to see their suites and book on the spot.

– The difference of this suite with the previous one is 1) has two bathrooms 2) working table is inside the bedroom 3) not a corner room 4) can be adjoining room 5) bigger.

Verdict: Rooms are nice specially their corner suite with the view of the bay and the city. But I like Diamond Hotel’s suite room because it’s bigger, cheaper and has two bathrooms.

Oh well, Sofitel is Sofitel.

Popping the question [Updated]

These are the various ways/scenarios we asked special persons close to our hearts to be a part of our wedding party.

May 12, Sunday, I called for a special meeting with the “Flypz ‘not mentioning any agenda. We met at Starmall, SJDM so that one of my friends could join us. We assembled at Jollibee, them, being the usual curious asked me what’s all about. So I handed them the box I specially made for them. To see them happy and make them feel special is my objective. And so I think I won that purpose.

May30, I invited Angge to have breakfast. When I handed him the envelope he asked me why I didn’t get him in my entourage, maybe he thought it’s an invitation already. He was surprised and I know he’s happy but he’s just concealing it. It’s a good feeling also that I have someone to talk to about wedding preparation outside w@w. Yes, he is getting married too.

Finally! R and J Monogram

I have been quiet for days because we’re finishing our WYBs. A little more polishing and it’s ready for distribution. Yey! 🙂

For the meantime, I want to share with you our official monogram. From my past post, I mentioned that we tried to come up with our own own design monogram. I have posted samples but are not yet final.

At first, we thought that this is the best that we can do.

The next day, I found it too “airy” so I tickled it a little.

And voila! Here’s the product of my fidgetiness.

Practice makes perfect! What do you think? 🙂

Credits to my h2b for the base design while enhancements are mine.

Wiiii!!! Another down from the list!  🙂
